Something for the weekend, comedy fans

If you fancy a comedy club this weekend, here are LiF’s top 5 tips – including Pete Firman, Isy Suttie and Carl Donnelly

Bobbing up and down on the Tattershall Castle boat/venue will be Al Barrie, Joe Lycett, Jeff Innocent and MC David Whitney.

Saturday – The Saturday Night Show
For those who prefer comedy of a more alternative bent make your way to the Invisible Dot in Kings Cross, where Peep Show’s Isy Suttie, Simon Munnery and rising star Jamie Demetriou will be doing their thang.
Saturday – 99 Club
Get stuck into this lot at the 99 Club’s Covent Garden outpost: James Acaster, Josh Howie and Fosters Comedy Award nominee Carl Donnelly (pictured).

Saturday – Crack Comedy Southbank
Down by the eye you can see this humdinger of a line-up: Ian Stone, young charmer Joe Lycett and Inventive scamp Tom Webb.

• Saturday – Backyard Comedy Club
Another chance to see star of BBC1’s Magicians, Pete Firman, doing his thing, this time at Lee Hurst’s Bethnal Green club. Pat Cahill, Quincy and Eddy Brimson make it a bill with both quality and variety.
